Why Register?

Who can Register? – Eligibility criteria

To be eligible to register you must be of Ngāti Whātua descent and affiliate to any of the 35 Ngāti Whātua Marae.

What is the registration process and what is involved?

Complete the first stage of the registration process and you will be sent a unique password to your nominated email.

Enter your email and password into the login screen, the link for login is located in the top header bar of the website.

Once logged in you will be asked questions related to your identification and your whakapapa.

There are 3 sections to complete, the final section requires uploading a valid photo identification.

We can accept a drivers licence, passport or proof of age card. If you do not have any of these please upload a recent photo of your face in full view.

Click upload and your photo or I.D is stored on file. This will finalise the application, ready for the verification process with Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua. 

What happens after I register?

Your identification records and whakapapa will be subject to a verified.

You will receive an email to advise you that the verification process is complete.

What do I need to do after my verification is complete?

1. You should keep your online profile records updated.

2. Ensure all of your whānau are enrolled.

3. You should notify us of any changes so that your registration records can be updated.
