Deed of Mandate
Below you can find a copy of the Deed of Mandate.
The Rūnanga has signed a Terms of Negotiation with the Crown. This sets out the scope, objectives and general procedures for the discussions that the Crown and Ngāti Whātua will have as part of the negotiation. The Terms of Negotiation which was signed in October 2008, were conditional on the Crown accepting the Rūnanga's mandate.
It is encouraged that potential beneficiaries of the claim are registered for the best possible outcome in the negotiations. This can be done by clicking on the 'Iwi Registration' link in the column to the left.
